This antibody cross reacts with amylin (IAPP).
For immunofluorescence applications, overnight incubation at 4°C is required. Stefanini fixed frozen sections of rat colon can be used as a positive control for this antibody.
Reconstitute with 50-100 ul of distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1M PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide. Once reconstituted, store at -20°C.
Calcitonin is a peptide hormone synthesized by the parafollicular cells of the thyroid. CGRP is one of the most abundant peptides produced in both peripheral and central neurons. It is a potent peptide vasodilator and can function in the transmission of pain.
