MA1-91039 detects APC from human, rat, mouse samples. Reacts with all full length and truncated APC proteins.
MA1-91039 has been successfully used in Western blot applications, where a band of approximately 312 kDa is predicted to be detected. Suggested positive controls for this product are HCT116 cells for p300 and SW480 cells for truncated APC (p147).
The MA1-91039 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal 35 amino acid residues of APC.
This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that includes among its many intracellular functions one of nuclear export. Defects in this gene cause familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP).
