MA1-22673 detects Beta subunit-Cholera Toxin in Bacteria samples.
MA1-22673 has been successfully used in ELISA procedures.
MA1-22673 immunogen corresponds to Purified beta-subunit of cholera toxin..
Cholera toxin (CT) acts by transfer of ADP-ribose from intracellular NAD to the alpha chain of a trimeric G protein that functions to stimulate adenylate cyclase resulting in the increase of host cell cAMP. CT binds via the beta subunits to the GM1 ganglioside. Gangliosides are glycolipids that also contain oligosaccharides with one or more sialic acid residues.
