MA1-23191 detects DNA ligase III in Human samples.
MA1-23191 has been successfully used in Western Blot, blocking and ICC/IF procedures. The predicted molecular weight of MA1-23191 is 100 kDa.
MA1-23191 immunogen corresponds to Recombinant full-length human DNA Ligase III-b.
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
There are four distinct ligase proteins found in mammalian cells. The activity of these DNA ligases is required for the joining of DNA strand breaks that occur during DNA replication, repair and recombination. DNA Ligase III gene product migrates as a 100kDa (a-form) protein in somatic tissues, is ubiquitously expressed and complexes with XRCC-1 and a 97kDa (ß-form) protein that is found in testis. DNA Ligase III is involved in rejoining DNA single-strand breaks and in the base excision repair pathway.
