PA5-31582 targets GALNT12 in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-31582 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 293 and 512 of Human GALNT12.
GALNT12 is a member of a family of UDP-GalNAc:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases (EC 220.127.116.11), which catalyze the transfer of N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) from UDP-GalNAc to a hydroxyl amino acid on a polypeptide acceptor in the initial step of mucin-type O-linked protein glycosylation (Guo et al., 2002 [PubMed 12135769]).
