Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generating a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
IL-12 (Interleukin 12) is produced primarily by macrophages, neutrophils, and dendritic cells. It is a disulphide linked heterodimeric cytokine with a 40 KDa subunit (p40) and a 35 KDa subunit. IL-12 is a regulatory cytokine important for mediating cellular immune responses. It helps in induction of cytotoxic activities, proliferation, and Th1 cell development. Human and mouse IL12 p40 share about 70% amino acid sequence homology.
