MA5-15236 targets MCL-1 in IF, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The MA5-15236 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human MCL-1 expressed in E. Coli.
MA5-15236 detects MCL-1 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 37kDa.
This gene encodes an anti-apoptotic protein, which is a member of the Bcl-2 family. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. The longest gene product enhances cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis while the alternatively spliced shorter gene products promote apoptosis and are death-inducing.
