MA1-90712 detects MRP8 from human samples.
MA1-90712 has been successfully used in flow cytometry, Western blot and ELISA applications. Western blot detects a band ~82 kDa. A suggested positive control for this product is neutrophil lysate (particularly neutrophils from spleen).
The MA1-90712 immunogen is: recombinant Human MRP8
MRP-8 and MRP-14 are cytosolic calcium-binding proteins of 8kDa and 14kDa that form a heterodimer. MRP-8 and MRP-14 are expressed in peripheral blood monocytes, neutrophils and keratinocytes (mature). Expression is lost on tissue maturation of monocytes to macrophages. MRP-14 may be associated with monocyte and neutrophil activation and the accumulation of these cells in inflammatory sites.
