PA1-75301 specifically detects Nalidixic Acid.
PA1-75301 has been successfully used in ELISA applications.
The PA1-75301 immunogen is Nalidixic Acid-BTG.
Nalidixic Acid is a synthetic quinolone and antibacterial agent with urinary tract antiseptic activity. Nalidixic acid concentrates in the renal tubules and bladder and exerts its local antibacterial actions by interference of DNA gyrase activity, thereby inhibiting DNA synthesis during bacterial replication in a dose-dependent manner. Nalidixic acid is active against most gram-negative organisms that cause urinary tract infections. [National Center for Biotechnology Information. PubChem Compound Database; CID=4421]
