The technology behind less clogging includes:

  • Syringe-based system for controlled sample volume and pressure entry at 75 PSI (compared to a max pressure of 15 PSI for traditional flow cytometers)

Principles behind clog resistant technology

Volumetric sample entry works like a pipette. Tension is created with a plunger pushing down (Figure 1A). The tension is released with the plunger coming up with the sample (Figure 1B). Clogging is less likely to occur under this high and controlled pressure environment.
