The newly developed Acetyl-protected rG amidite is a suitable replacement for iBu-rG, and ideal for use in synthesis of longmers.  Oligonucleotide deprotection times have been noted to be reduced as much as 25%. 

When using both of the PAC amidites, select Ac-rC (27-1805) and U (27-1804) to minimize the amount of time for post-synthesis deprotection.
