Hot-start PCR for higher specificity and yield

When choosing a polymerase for PCR, we recommend starting with AmpliTaq Gold® 360 or AccuPrime™ Pfx DNA polymerase. AmpliTaq Gold® 360 polymerase can be used on a wide range of templates (e.g., routine, AT- and GC-rich) (Figure 1), and AccuPrime™ Pfx polymerase provides the benefit of maximum fidelity and specificity (Figure 2). Both offer robust and reliable amplification and are available in easy-to-use, premixed master mix formats.

Automatic hot-start PCR for room temperature setup and master mix convenience

No need for on-ice setup or the addition of multiple components: both AmpliTaq Gold® 360 and AccuPrime™ Pfx provide automatic hot-start PCR, which allows you to set up reactions at room temperature without the problem of extension at misprimed sites. With the master mix and supermix formats, the addition of primers and template is all that is required for robust amplification.
