Measuring Our Progress

Our goal is to grow and continue to create value for all of our constituents: employees, customers and shareholders. We strive to improve our efficiency and economy of resources.

Our company-wide Practical Process Improvement Program (PPI) is our methodology for continuous improvement across our businesses and functions. PPI empowers teams of employees to identify process inefficiencies, remove waste, and develop solutions for streamlining the jobs they perform every day.

Numerous PPI projects across the company are focused on "green initiatives" such as:

• Reducing paper and electricity usage
• Reusable packaging
• Increased recycling to reduce landfill impact
• Improving space efficiency in existing facilities

As of 2011,
more than 18,000
employees have been
formally trained. PPI delivered over
$100 million in productivity
savings and waste
reduction in 2011.
