Thermo Fisher Scientific Launches the Orion Star series RDO Portable Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meters, Sensors and Accessories at ACHEMA 2009FRANKFURT (May 11, 2009) – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today unveiled the new Orion Star™-series RDO® meters, sensors and accessories. These meters combine innovative optical dissolved oxygen technology and the timeless electrochemistry reliability from Thermo Scientific Orion Star series meters. The series includes the single-parameter 3-Star RDO meter, the dual-parameter 4-Star pH/RDO meter and the multi-parameter 5-Star pH/RDO/conductivity meter. These solutions will be displayed on booth B1-C11, Hall 6.1 at ACHEMA 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 11 – 15. Benefits of the Thermo Scientific Orion Star RDO meters and RDO sensors include:
The new meters will be available in three configurations. The meter-only configuration allows the user to customize the meter with the sensor, cable length and accessories needed. Sensors are available in 3, 6, 10, 15 and 30 meter cable lengths. Meter and sensor packages are available in 3 meter sensor cable lengths or 6 meter sensor cable lengths. Both meter and sensor packages include a stainless steel RDO sensor guard and calibration sleeve for the sensor. The configuration with the 6 meter cable adds a carrying case. For the 4-Star pH/RDO meters and 5-Star pH/RDO/conductivity meters, meter and sensor configurations also include the additional pH and/or conductivity electrodes where applicable.
