Thermo Fisher Scientific Announces Further Expansion of Single-Use Mixing Platform

Logan, Utah. (May 11, 2009) — Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, is launching the expansion of the Thermo Scientific HyClone Single-Use Mixer (S.U.M.) platform at Achema 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 11 – 15.

The S.U.M. offers a wide range of options providing maximum processing flexibility in powder-liquid and liquid-liquid applications. Systems are now available to provide scalability from 10 to 2000 L for both open and closed mixing of critical materials. Also a docking station option operating with separate 200, 500 and 1000 L tanks for high throughput applications.

The S.U.M. integrates with the HyClone Powdertainer II, a single-use system for packaging and delivering powders, to provide a closed hydration system.
