Marijn Dekkers

President and Chief Executive Officer

Marijn E. Dekkers is president and CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to the merger of Thermo Electron Corporation and Fisher Scientific International in November 2006, Dekkers was president and chief executive officer of Thermo Electron, a position he held since November 2002. He joined Thermo Electron in July 2000 as chief operating officer. Before Thermo Electron, Dekkers was employed for five years at Honeywell International (formerly AlliedSignal), where he held a number of executive positions. Dekkers began his career as a research scientist within General Electric's corporate R&D center. From 1985 to 1995, he held various operating positions within GE in both the United States and Europe. A native of the Netherlands, Dekkers received both doctorate and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Eindhoven and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Nijmegen. Dekkers is also a board member of Biogen Idec.

Marc Casper

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Marc N. Casper is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to being named COO, Casper served as president of Thermo Fisher’s Analytical Technologies businesses following the merger of Thermo Electron and Fisher Scientific in November 2006. Casper joined the company in December 2001 as president of its Life and Laboratory Sciences Sector. Previously, Casper served as president, chief executive officer and a director of Kendro Laboratory Products. Before Kendro, he was president-Americas for Dade Behring Inc. Casper began his career at Bain & Company as a strategy consultant and later joined Bain Capital, where he oversaw business development, strategy and business integration in select companies owned by Bain. Casper earned an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of Wesleyan University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Peter M. Wilver

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Pete Wilver joined Thermo in October 2000 as Vice President, Financial Operations, with responsibility for integrating Thermo's financial operations and systems, establishing a monthly financial analysis and reporting process, and improving the efficiency of our financial reporting systems. He was named Chief Financial Officer of Thermo Electron in October of 2004. Before joining Thermo, Pete worked for General Electric, Grimes Aerospace Company, and, most recently, Honeywell International (formerly AlliedSignal), where he served as a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the electronic materials division. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Pete is also a certified public accountant.
