The Applied Biosystems 7500 Real-Time PCR System for Human Identification provides an advanced, validated solution for casework, databasing, and paternity applications. This system comes with a Dell Desktop GX620 computer.

This instrument system provides the following:
• It is validated for use with the Quantifiler™ Human Quantification and the Quantifiler™ Y Human Male DNA Quantification Systems.
• It utilizes the Quantifiler™ kits to determine the quantity of amplifiable DNA and the potential presence of PCR inhibitors to obtain an accurate prediction of the amount of DNA input required for optimal STR amplification.
• It utilizes the Quantifiler™ kits to quantify trace samples; real-time PCR has the widest dynamic range of any DNA detection technology.
• It provides Quantfiler™ kit results in less than 2 hours.

Built for Performance
The 7500 system for Human Identification includes SDS v.1.2.3 software which is validated to run Quantifiler™ Human DNA and Quantifiler™ Y Human Male DNA quantification kits. SDS v1.2.3 is a powerful, versatile program that includes plate set-up wizards and automated analysis tools that make data processing easier. Its advanced data viewing capabilities make analysis less time consuming. The instrument is a powerful, five-color platform that is calibrated for the broadest range of dyes available: FAM⁄SYBR Green I, VIC⁄JOE, TAMRA⁄CY3, ROX⁄Texas Red, and CY5 dyes. Its specialized optical system enables easy and accurate calibration to new dyes without requiring the addition of new filter sets and its advanced multi-componenting algorithm minimizes spectral crosstalk making the instrument superior for multiplexing.

Complete Validated Solution
Applied Biosystems offers a complete solution for your human identification needs. Our system includes DNA quantification kits, a range of AmpFLSTR™ STR kits, instrumentation, software, and consumables. All reagents are developed in accordance with guidelines from leading worldwide forensic organizations including: SWGDAM, DAB, CODIS, ENFSI, Interpol, and GITAD. The system has been internally validated by Applied Biosystems following DAB⁄SWGDAM guidelines for use with Quantifiler™ Human Quantification System and Quantifiler™ Y Human Male DNA Quantification System making the 7500 system suitable for casework, paternity, and databasing laboratories.
