Description

Oncomine™ Power Tools provide a highly interactive and visual environment for biotech and pharma scientists to interrogate data and conduct analyses to address key questions in oncology research. Designed for computational to bench-level biologists, these tools present both detailed results and dynamic summaries of the world’s genomic oncology experiments. Power Tools are built on the Oncomine™ platform and utilize the latest data and analyses. The tools are designed to address questions in drug R&D and currently consist of the following:

DNA Copy Number Browser for identifying focal amplifications and distinguishing driver from passenger amplifications/deletions across multiple clinical datasets.
Gene Expression Browser for identifying and confirming differential expression in multiple cancer types across multiple independent datasets.
Mutation Browser for exploring frequency of mutation for a specific gene or identifying the most prevalent mutation in a cancer type.
Oncomine™ Gene Browser for identifying significant genetic alterations across all cancer types in a single snapshot view with the capability of drilling down to the sample level.

Oncomine™ Power Tools can help address questions like these:

• Which gene is most frequently mutated in glioblastomas and which amino acid changes are recurrent that are predictive of a potential oncogene?
• What novel mutations exist in the latest exon-wide, high-throughput sequencing experiments?
• What focal amplifications are present in 2–3% of lung cancer clinical samples and what cell lines possess similar amplifications to use as models?
• What novel amplifications can be identified in the latest high resolution Agilent experiments from TCGA and Broad Tumorscape data?
• What cancer types show the highest level of expression of my target gene in clinical research samples and cell lines?
