Participation is free of charge. Please register to receive a confirmation email with the access details for the session(s) you selected. Please note that audio will be available only by phone.

Jul 17, 2018 - Jul 17, 2018

This webinar provides complete solutions in pharma/biopharma to determine most common pharmaceutical counterions used in the development of basic drugs, analysis of monosaccharides, sialic acids and glycans, and aminoglycosides.
Ion chromatography (IC) plays a key role in drug monograph modernization because it offers a significant improvement to existing active pharmaceutical ingredient, impurity and counterion assays, with advantages in speed, reproducibility, accuracy, safety and cost-effectiveness.

Who should attend:

  • Researchers who want to be ready for future challenges for this topic
  • Laboratory managers and analysts that are routinely involved in pharma and biopharma samples analysis
Speaker:
Anna Severoni, Sales Support Chromatography for Italy, Thermo Fisher Scientific Rodano (MI)
Jul 17, 2018 - Jul 17, 2018

In this webinar, you will learn some guidelines for the maintenance of performance and solution of common problems with IC systems. Get an overview how to identify the system’s modules and components and how to perform basic operations. Hear about symptoms of system problems and how to perform basic maintenance procedures and removal of  interfering substances from your sample improves analytical performance and reliability.

Who should attend:

  • Analysts that are routinely involved in IC analysis

Speakers:
Anna Severoni, Sales Support Chromatography for Italy, Thermo Fisher Scientific Rodano (MI)

Tiziana Ladisa, Application Specialist Chromatography Solutions for IC and LC, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rodano (MI)

Jul 17, 2018 - Jul 17, 2018

Ion chromatography is a frequently used technique in routine environmental analysis.  Join this webinar to see the latest developments in ion chromatography instrumentation, to understand how new consumables could improve analytical performance and expand the range and capabilities of applications.

Who should attend:

  •  Researchers who want to be ready for future challenges for this topic
  •  Laboratory managers and analysts that are routinely involved in  environmental samples analysis

Speaker: Tiziana Ladisa, Application Specialist Chromatography Solutions for IC and LC, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rodano (MI)

BiopharmaceuticalCharactarization230x195

Speaker: Mauro de Pra, Application Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Germering/Germany

Content: Polar pesticides such as glyphosate and its metabolite AMPA have become a hot topic in recent years.  The potential carcinogenic nature of glyphosate and the discovery of this compound in various food sources has led to an increased amount of testing in food and water samples.  Glyphosate and other polar pesticides are not retained by C18 columns and current HPLC methods require derivitisation or speciality columns which show robustness issues.  Ion chromatography coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer has been used to separate polar pesticides without the need for derivitisation.

hdi-hplc-uhplc-systems-270x195

Speaker: Giorgia Greco, Product Manager HPLC for MS Systems, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Germering/Germany

Content: Liquid chromatography is often the forgotten partner in LC-MS, but by ensuring the correct UHPLC system is paired with the mass spectrometer for specific applications you can maximise your output and ensure you are fully utilising your investments. This webinar will investigate the parameters to consider, the application requirements and offer recommendations as to which UHPLC to use for specific LC-MS applications.

Speaker: Tiziana Ladisa, Application specialist Chromatography solution IC LC, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rodano/Italy

Content: Liquid chromatography does n't always provide the expected chromatogram. In the final webinar of the series we will show classic problems seen in HPLC / UHPLC separation, explain the typical causes and explain how these can be eliminated.

subtopic-cds-instrument-control-125x125

Speaker: Anna Severoni, Support Specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rodano/Italy

Content: This webinar will overview the requirements of a Chromatography Data System (CDS) software to ensure that data integrity regulations are followed and how the Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System software allows you to protect the integrity of your data at each stage of the workflow. We will present an overview of the current data integrity regulations, how these translate to a Chromatography Data System software and how Chromeleon protects data integrity.
