Gibco trypsin solutions are used widely for dissociation of tissues and cell monolayers. The biochemical assays performed on Trypsin 1:250 determine both trypsin-specific activity at the level of certain co-purified enzymes that influence cell removal and viability. All trypsin solutions are prepared from porcine parvovirus-tested and mycoplasma-tested materials.

Gibco trypsin solutions are prepared under controlled conditions using accelerated manufacturing procedures, to minimize loss of enzyme activity from denaturation and autodegradation. All raw stock trypsin are verified for e-beam irradiation and tested for PPV, mycoplasma, and PCV 1/2 contamination.
