PluriTest-Compatible PrimeView Assays for Pluripotency Confirmation
Global gene expression profile assays
Pluripotent stem cells are typically characterized by assessing pluripotent marker expression and trilineage differentiation potential. PluriTest-compatible PrimeView Global Gene Expression Profile Assays enable quick and cost-effective verification of pluripotency. The technology leverages PrimeView gene expression data in combination with the PluriTest analysis tool, which is a well-established method for verifying pluripotency with over 16,000 samples analyzed. For each sample, more than 36,000 transcripts and variants are compared against an extensive reference set of more than 450 samples, allowing for a direct and detailed comparison of your submitted sample data to hundreds of previously characterized pluripotent and non-pluripotent data sets.
The PrimeView Assays offer:
- Compatibility with the PluriTest Analysis Tool, a widely accepted method to confirm pluripotency
- Cost-effective confirmation of pluripotency
- Free and simple-to-use cloud-based analysis tool
PluriTest bioinformatics assay for pluripotency
The PluriTest Assay compares the transcriptional profile of a sample to an extensive reference set of >450 cell and tissue types: including 223 induced pluripotent stem cell lines, 41 induced pluripotent stem cell lines, somatic cells, and tissues. The online analysis tool confirms pluripotency via two separate scores: Pluripotency and Novelty. The Pluripotency Score is an indication of how strongly a model-based pluripotency signature is expressed in the samples analyzed. The Novelty Score indicates the general model fit for a given sample. See Nat Methods 8:315 (2011) for more information.

The PrimeView Assays include access to a free and simple-to-use cloud-based analysis tool that confirms pluripotency via two separate scores: Pluripotency and Novelty. Pluripotent (red) samples cluster in the upper left-hand portion of the plot.
