PA1-21216 detects Fatty-Acid Binding Protein in Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
PA1-21216 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western Blot procedures.
The PA1-21216 immunogen is a synthetic peptides corresponding to residues F(70) D E V T A D D R K V K(81) and K(96) W D G K S T T I K R K(107) of ALBP.
ALBP is a fatty acid binding protein found in adipocytes. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. It is thought that the role of these proteins includes fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.
