PA1-4139 detects alien in human samples.
PA1-4139 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1- 4139 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues E(239) C G G K M H L R E G E(250) of human Alien. This sequence is 100% conserved in mouse, rat, and Drosophila.
Alien is a novel co-repressor that interacts with the thyroid hormone receptor in the absence of hormone. Alien is highly conserved between human and Drosophila and is specific for selected members of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily.
