This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. A ~100kD band is detected by Western blot.
Apoptotic linked-gene-product 2 (ALG-2) interacting protein X (ALIX) is a conserved adaptor protein which is ubiquitously expressed. Alix was originally reported to play a role in apoptosis but has recently been shown to be involved in other cellular mechanisms including endosomal sorting, endocytosis, viral buding and actin cytoskeleton assembly.
