PA1-18317 detects APP from rat samples.
PA1-18317 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry procedures.
The PA1-18317 immunogen is a synthetic peptides corresponding to residuess C-E(145) T H L H W H T V A K E T(157), C-H(388) A H F Q K A K E R L E A K H R E R(405), and C-K(724) K K Q Y T S I H H G V V E(737) of human APP isoform A, conjugated to KLH.
Reconstitute with 100 ul of distilled water.
APP functions as a cell surface receptor and performs physiological functions on the surface of neurons relevant to neurite growth, neuronal adhesion and axonogenesis. The APP protein is involved in cell mobility and transcription regulation through protein-protein interactions. APP can promote transcription activation through binding to APBB1/Tip60 and inhibit Notch signaling through interaction with Numb. APP couples to apoptosis-inducing pathways such as those mediated by G(O) and JIP. Inhibits G(o) alpha ATPase activity. Acts as a kinesin I membrane receptor, mediating the axonal transport of beta-secretase and presenilin 1.
