Expression of the beta-2 adrenergic receptor has been reported in adipose, blood, brain, heart, lung, nose, pancreas, skeletal muscle, skin, and vessel. ESTs have been isolated from breast, liver, liver/spleen, placenta, and uterus libraries.
G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) comprise one of the largest families of signaling molecules with more than a thousand members currently predicted to exist.
