Western blot of CCAR2/DBC1 in (A) HEK293 and (B) MCF-7 nuclear lysates was performed using 35ug protein in RIPA buffer. Lysates were probed with a CCAR2/DBC1 polyclonal antibody (Product# PA5-37959) at a dilution of 0.5ug/ml and incubated for 1 hour, followed by chemiluminescent detection.

DBC1 is located within a chromosomal region that shows loss of heterozygosity in some bladder cancers. It contains a 5' CpG island that may be a frequent target of hypermethylation, and it may undergo hypermethylation-based silencing in some bladder cancers.
