Western blot analysis of CD151 in whole cell extracts from Jurkat and HeLa (lanes 1 and 2 respectively) using a CD151 recombinant rabbit oligoclonal antibody (Product # 710453) at a dilution of 1ug/ml. Detection was performed using an HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody followed by chemiluminescence (ECL). Tubulin was used as a loading control and detected with an anti-tubulin antibody. Results show a band at ~28kDa.

CD151 (cluster of differentiation 151) is a cell surface glycoprotein belonging to the tetraspanin superfamily. CD151 plays an important role in cell growth, development, morphology, and motility. It is also involved in signalling associated with integrin. The protein is expressed by endothelial cells, platelets, megakaryocytes, and monocytes.
