MA1-70041 detects CD8a in mouse samples.
MA1-70041 has been successfully used in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed paraffin & frozen) procedures. PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections require antigen retrieval prior to immunostaining.
The MA1-70041 immunogen is mouse Ly-2 thymocytes.
Store at 4°C for short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid Freeze/Thaw Cycles.
MA1-70041 reacts with a protein of approximately 30 kDa found on mouse thymocytes and mouse cytotoxic/suppressor T cells. It does not bind to mouse helper/inducer T cells. It binds to T lymphocytes from all mouse strains regardless of phenotypic expressin (i.e. reacts with T lymphocytes from mouse strains expresssing the Ly2.1 or Ly2.2 phenotype). It can be used to investigate the role of T cells in models for infectious disease, autoimmunity transplantation tolerance and fundamental aspects of immunology. It can also be useful to identify/eliminate cytotoxic or suppressor T lyphocytes in vivo or in vitro.
