This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, chicken, mouse and rat based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature. A suggested positive control is breast carcinoma or tonsil tissue.
In vertebrates, multiple cyclins have been identified, including a total of eight such regulatory proteins in mammals. In contrast to the situation in yeast, the Cdc2 p34 kinase is not the only catalytic subunit identified in vertebrates that can interact with cyclins. Cdc2 p34 is essential for the G2 to M transition in vertebrate cells. Several additional Cdc2 p34-related cyclin dependent kinases have been identified.
