PA1-21769 detects Chk1 in Human samples.
PA1-21769 has been successfully used in Western Blot procedures.
PA1-21769 immunogen corresponds to Synthetic phospho peptide (Human), which represents a portion of human Chk 1 encoded within exon 8..
Chk1 is a kinase involved in the DNA damage checkpoint response, and can phosphorylate Cdc25C. It is hypothesized that Chk1 induces serine 216 phosphorylation of Cdc25C and subsequent binding negatively regulated Cdc25C, thus preventing it from activating Cdc2.
