This antibody reacts with the B subunit of intact cholera toxin.
Purity is >90%.
Recommended pairs for ELISA: MA5-18189 (capture) and MA5-18188 or MA5-18190 (conjugated, detection).
Cholera toxin (CT) acts by transfer of ADP-ribose from intracellular NAD to the alpha chain of a trimeric G protein that functions to stimulate adenylate cyclase resulting in the increase of host cell cAMP. CT binds via the beta subunits to the GM1 ganglioside. Gangliosides are glycolipids that also contain oligosaccharides with one or more sialic acid residues.
