MA1-26771 detects collagen I from bovine, human, porcine, rabbit, deer, and rat samples. This antibody will not cross react with collagen 2-11, or thermally denatured collagen.
MA1-26771 has been successfully used in ELISA, dot blot, immunoflurescence and immunohistochemistry (frozen) procedures. The epitope is sensitive to routine formalin fixation and paraffin embedding. Strong staining of connective tissue fibers is seen in acetone-fixed or unfixed frozen sections. This antibody is not suitable for paraffin-embedded tissues.
