This antibody is predicted to react with porcine based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature. A suggested positive control is breast carcinoma.
Recognizes a protein of 67kDa, which is identified as estrogen receptor (ER). The ER gene consists of more than 140 kb of genomic DNA divided into 8 exons, being translated into a protein with six functionally discrete domains, labeled A through F. This antibody strongly stains the nucleus of epithelial cells in breast carinomas. The ER is an important regulator of growth and differentiation in the mammary gland.
