Ethenobases are adduct products of vinyl chloride, an occupational carcinogen. The sensitivity and specificity of this ethenoadenosine antibody have been determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. It reacts with both the ribose and deoxyribose form of the adduct. In addition, previous lots of this antibody have been shown to detect etheno-ADP-ribosylation of cell surface proteins by flow cytometry.
