FLIP Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry analysis of FLIP in paraffin-embedded esophagus cancer tissue. Sample was incubated with FLIP monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-31679) using a dilution of 1:200-1:1000 followed by DAB staining.

FLIP Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of FLIP in JURKAT (1), 3T3L1 (2) and RAJI (3) cell lysate. Samples were incubated with FLIP monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-31679) using a dilution of 1:500-1:2000.

FLIP Antibody in Flow Cytometry (Flow) — Flow cytometry of FLIP in JURKAT cells (green). Sample was incubated with FLIP monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-31679) using a dilution of 1:200-1:400 followed by negative control (red).

Target Information

FLIP (CFLAR) is an apoptosis regulator protein which functions as a crucial link between cell survival and cell death pathways in mammalian cells. It acts as an inhibitor of TNFRSF6 mediated apoptosis. A proteolytic fragment (p43) is likely retained in the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) thereby blocking further recruitment and processing of caspase-8 at the complex. Full length and shorter isoforms have been shown either to induce apoptosis or to reduce TNFRSF-triggered apoptosis. Lacks enzymatic (caspase) activity.
