MA1-23236 detects FKHR in Human samples.
MA1-23236 has been successfully used in Western Blot procedures. Predicted molecular weight of approximately 70 kDa. Positive control of Cos 1 cells transfected with human FKHR suggested.
MA1-23236 immunogen corresponds to Amino acids 242-655 of FKHR expressed in E. coli.
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
FKHR recognizes FKHR (ForKHead in Rhabdomyosarcoma), a 70a protein, which is one member in a subfamily of the forkhead homeotic gene family of transcription factors. Recent experiments have shown that this protein can act as either a coactivator or a corepressor of nuclear receptor activity. This action is mediated through the LXXLL motif found in the carboxyl terminal region of the FKHR protein.
