Western blot analysis was performed on recombinant proteins (1 ug) of Neurophilin 2 (Lane 1), KMT2A (Lane 2), DOT1 (Lane 3), KMT2C (Lane4) and GST (Lane 5). The blots were probed with Anti-GST Tag Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (Product# CAB5001, 1-3 ug/ml) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # 626520, 1:4000 dilution). A 26 kDa band corresponding to GST Tag was observed while different GST tagged proteins showed their corresponding molecular weights. Known quantity of protein samples were electrophoresed using Novex® NuPAGE® 12 % Bis-Tris gel (Product # NP0342BOX), XCell SureLock™ Electrophoresis System (Product # EI0002) and Novex® Sharp Pre-Stained Protein Standard (Product # LC5800). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane with iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The membrane was probed with the relevant primary and secondary Antibody following blocking with 5 % skimmed milk. Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).

CAB5001 detects glutathione-S-transferase (GST) in most samples. CAB5001 has been successfully used in ELISA applications.
GST (Glutathione-S-Transferase) is a 26kDa protein encoded by the parasite Schistosoma japonicum, easily purified by affinity chromatography on immobilized glutathione. GST is utilized as a fusion protein with foreign proteins in a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors. Antibodies against GST will detect the expressed GST protein or a GST-fusion protein, and can be utilized for immuno-purification of GST-fusion proteins.
