Western blot analysis of Bacillus subtilis LTA using MA1-7402. Wild-type B. subtilis or a mutant form of B. subtilis lacking LTA were grown to the same optical density and lysed. 65µg of protein lysate was probed by Western blot with Gram Positive Bacteria LTA Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA1-7402) at 1:250 dilution followed by alkaline phosphatase conjugated secondary antibody and NBT/BCIP substrate. The MA1-7402 antibody reacts with Gram positive bacteria LTA in bacterial and infected tissue samples.
MA1-7402 has been successfully used in ELISA, Western blot, and immunofluorescence applications. Suggested, but not tested in immunohistochemistry applications.
The MA1-7402 antibody was raised against Lipoteichoic acid consistent with that of gram positive bacteria.
