H2AFY2 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded human endometrium tissue within the normal limits using anti-H2AFY2 mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by 1 mM EDTA in 10mM Tris, pH8.5, 120°C for 3min, TA803386)

H2AFY2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY H2AFY2 (RC203699, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-H2AFY. Positive lysates LY412957 (100 µg) and LC412957 (20 µg) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

Target Information

Variant histone H2A which replaces conventional H2A in a subset of nucleosomes where it represses transcription. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling. May be involved in stable X chromosome inactivation.
