HYB 061-01-02 is specific for the alpha-chain of human factor I.
HYB 061-01-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blotting procedures. HYB 061-01-02 reacts strongly with factor I. Strong reaction is seen with normal human plasma when used in sandwich ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody against factor I as capture antbody (e.g. sheep anti human factor I from Serotec). In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, HYB 061-01-02 reacts with factor I in non-reduced
form.

NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL
Factor I, a serine protease, is a regulatory component of both the alternative and the classical complement pathway. Factor I is synthesized as a single chain precursor of 88 kDa, processed to yield the active form, composed of two disulfide-linked chains, the a-chain (50 kDa) and the b-chain (38 kDa). Plasma concentration is 35 µg/mL.
