MA5-13556 targets Human Milk Fat Globule 1 in IF, IHC (P), IP, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The MA5-13556 immunogen is delipidated human milk fat globule membrane preparation.
Human milk fat globule membrane protein (HMFG1) is present on normal human breast epithelial cells and cell lines derived from breast carcinomas, as well as to the outer surface of the human milk fat globule. HMFG1 is considered as a differentiation marker. It is useful as specific breast epithelial marker in normal and neoplastic mammary development.

p63(TP63) elicits strong trans-activation of the MFG-E8/lactadherin/BA46 gene through interactions between the TA and DeltaN isoforms.
MA5-13556 was used in western blot to examine the role of p63 in the activation of MFG-E8/lactadherin/BA46 gene
