221001 targets IFN alpha in ELISA and Neutralization applications and shows reactivity with mouse samples. Purity is greater than 95%, and endotoxin level is less than 1 EU/ug.
In neutralization assays, one neutralization unit is the amount of antiserum required to neutralize one unit of mouse IFN alpha to a 50% endpoint. This antibody is expected to work in IP applications, although it has not been fully evaluated for IP.
After receipt, this product should be kept at or below -70C for retention of full activity.
IFN alpha has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 19 kDa.
Leukocyte interferon is produced predominantly by B lymphocytes. Immune interferon (IFN-gamma; MIM 147570) is produced by mitogen- or antigen-stimulated T lymphocytes.
