This antibody does not react with mouse and rat samples despite 94% sequence homology.
Suggested positive control: antigen standard for CYR61 (transient overexpression lysate), MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lysate.
CYR61 is a cysteine-rich, heparin-binding, growth factor belonging to the CCN family of secreted regulatory proteins. It stimulates chondrogensis and angiogenesis, playing an important role in cartilage and bone formation, as well as tumor growth and vascularization.
