M600B targets IL-2 in ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The M600B immunogen is recombinant human IL-2.
M600B detects IL-2 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 15 kDa.
The M600B IL2 antibody (biotinylated conjugate of clone BG5) has successfully been paired as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with polyclonal capture antibody P600. Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include 1 µg/ml for coating and 0.125 - 0.25 µg/ml for detection.
Biotinylated antibody M600B (clone BG5) and antibody P600 have successfully been used in combination with recombinant IL2 protein SIL2 in ELISA applications.
The protein encoded by this gene is a secreted cytokine that is important for the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. The receptor of this cytokine is a heterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is also shared by interleukin 4 (IL4) and interleukin 7 (IL7). The expression of this gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, which represents an unusual regulatory mode for controlling the precise expression of a single gene. The targeted disruption of a similar gene in mice leads to ulcerative colitis-like disease, which suggests an essential role of this gene in the immune response to antigenic stimuli.
