Western blot analysis of IL-2R alpha in whole cell extracts from Jurkat cells (lane 1), and K562 cells (lane 2) using an IL-2R alpha recombinant rabbit oligoclonal antibody (Product # 710390) at a dilution of 1ug/ml. Samples were detected using chemiluminescence (ECL). Results show a band at ~30kDa.

Soluble IL2R is a secretory form of the receptor for interleukin-2 (IL2), an important cytokine involved in the immune response. The membrane bound form of IL2R is expressed on the surface of various lymphoid cells including activated T and NK cells, monocytes, and eosinophils. The soluble form is created through proteolytic cleaveage of the transmembrane domain to release the IL-2R ectodomains.
IP-MS enrichment of IL2RA (LFQ intensity): IL2RA was enriched 244-fold from SR lysate compared to background proteins, using the optimized IP-MS workflow with Pierce MS-Compatible Magnetic IP Kit protein A/G (Part No. 90409) and IL2RA antibody (Part No. MA5-12680).
