MA1-22531 detects IL-6 in mouse samples. This antibody does not detect human or rat IL-6.
MA1-22531 has been successfully used in ELISA, immunofluorescence, inhibition assay, and immunoprecipitation procedures.
MA1-22531 immunogen corresponds to Interleukin 6 (IL-6).
Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a pluripotent 20-22 kDa cytokine that plays a role in the pathophysiology of severe infection and regulates the immune response, acute phase reaction and hematopoiesis. IL-6 plays a critical role in B-cell differentiation to plasma cells and is a potent growth factor for plasmacytoma and myeloma. Continuous IL-6 gene expression makes an essential contribution to a multi-step oncogenesis of plasma cell neoplasia. IL-6 is a very useful culture supplement for the generation of a high number of antibody-producing hybridomas.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
Th1 responses to beta-amyloid in young humans convert to regulatory IL-10 responses in Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease.
MA1-22531 was used in ELISA to study the role of Th1 responses to beta-amyloid in Down syndrome and Alzheimer disease

Enhancement of antigen-presenting cell surface molecules involved in cognate interactions by immunostimulatory DNA sequences.
MA1-22531 was used in blocking assay to demonstrate that immunostimulatory DNA up-regulates a distinct profile of cell surface molecules on macrophages and B cells in vitro and in vivo.
