PA5-29053 targets JARID1C in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-29053 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 10 and 291 of Human JARID1C.
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
This gene is a member of the SMCY homolog family and encodes a protein with one ARID domain, one JmjC domain, one JmjN domain and two PHD-type zinc fingers. The DNA-binding motifs suggest this protein is involved in the regulation of transcription and chromatin remodeling. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked mental retardation. Alternatively spliced variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described but the full-length nature of only one has been determined.
