PA1-20240 detects KIF3A in human, mouse, and rat samples.
PA1-20240 has been successfully used in immunofluorescence and Western blot procedures.
The PA1-20240 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, KLH conjugated, corresponding to residues 682-701 of mouse KIF3A.
Store at 4°C short term. For long term storage, store at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
The kinesin superfamily (KIFs) of proteins consists of a class of microtubule-dependent motors that plays a major role in many cellular and developmental functions, including organelle transport, mitosis, meiosis, and possibly long-range signaling in neurons. The KIF proteins are primarily associated with anterograde transport of vesicles and organelles in neurons, epithelial cells, and melanosomes with bidirectional transport of mitochondria and mediating transport between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi complex.

KIF1-binding protein interacts with KIF3A in haploid male germ cells.
PA1-20240 was used in immunohistochemistry and western blot to investigate the interaction between KIF1-binding protein and KIF3A in haploid male germ cells
