Laminin beta-3 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of Laminin-beta-3 was performed in A431 cells fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: Laminin beta-3 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-21514) diluted at 1:500. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

Laminin beta-3 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of Laminin beta-3 was performed by separating 30 µg of whole cell extract by 5% SDS-PAGE. Proteins were transferred to a membrane and probed with a Laminin beta-3 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-21514) at a dilution of 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Target Information

The product encoded by this gene is a laminin that belongs to a family of basement membrane proteins. This protein is a beta subunit laminin, which together with an alpha and a gamma subunit, forms laminin-5. Mutations in this gene cause epidermolysis bullosa junctional Herlitz type, and generalized atrophic benign epidermolysis bullosa, diseases that are characterized by blistering of the skin. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been found for this gene.
